Boyd Burns, DO, Named Interim Dean of OU Medical School in Tulsa

Dr. Boyd Burns

Boyd Burns DO, MBA, MHA, OCEP member and Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chairman of Emergency Medicine at the OU School of Community Medicine in Tulsa has been named the interim dean of the OU Medical School in Tulsa. He is the Immediate Past President of the Council of Residency Directors (CORD) and a nationally recognized voice in academic emergency medicine.

Dr. Jeff Goodloe Chairman of the ACEP Board, 2023-2024

Dr. Jeffrey Goodloe served on the National ACEP Board of Directors since 2019 in multiple roles, including Chairman of the Board, Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-President of Communications. He is past president of the national Emergency Medicine Resident’s Association (EMRA) and innumerable roles in emergency medicine leadership in Oklahoma, including being Professor and core faculty at the University of Oklahoma Emergency Medicine Residency, EMS section chief of the Center for Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, two-term president of the Oklahoma College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Advisor the the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Basketball Club, Track Physician for NASCAR and Indy Car, Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) for Tulsa and OKC and medical director the the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. His leadership to the Oklahoma Emergency Medical Community cannot be measured. Quite simply, he is the best of the best in Oklahoma and nationally. He is a stud. We are all fortunate to walk in his shadows and all EM physicians in Oklahoma have directly benefitted from his work. Being such a humble servant, he would never toot his own horn. Please thank him next time you see him.
